Russia attacked Ukraine with 150 drones: how many did air defense destroy?

On the night of September 1-2, the Russian Federation carried out a large-scale air attack, launching 150 attack drones into Ukraine from five different directions. Most of them were neutralized by air defense forces, but the attack could not be completely repelled – 30 direct hits were recorded.

This was reported by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Telegram.

According to the military, the enemy used Shahed-type strike drones, as well as other model drones. The attack was carried out from Russian territory – from the Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions, as well as from Chauda, which is in occupied Crimea.

The air force, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and operators of Ukrainian defense unmanned systems were involved in repelling the attack.

As a result of the coordinated actions of the defenders, at least 120 enemy drones were destroyed or suppressed in the northern, southern, eastern and central regions of the country.

However, not all targets were intercepted – 30 hits were recorded on nine infrastructure facilities, as well as falling debris in five settlements.
