On the night of June 5, Russia attacked Ukraine with 216 strike drones of various types and two Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, since the evening of June 4, the enemy has been attacking Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles from the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as 216 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol, and Parodia.
Drone launches were carried out from the directions of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), as well as Chauda in occupied Crimea.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
“As of 07:30 on June 5, air defenses have shot down or suppressed 198 enemy UAVs,” the press service reported.
16 strike drones were recorded hitting 13 locations, as well as debris from downed targets falling in 12 locations. Guided aircraft missiles did not reach their targets.
The attack continues – several enemy drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
