Russia attacked Ukraine with 49 drones and missiles: Air defenses destroyed most of the targets.

On the night of October 1, 2025, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using 49 Shahed, Gerber, and other attack drones, an Onyx anti-ship missile from occupied Crimea, and four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from the Oryol region of the Russian Federation.
The press center of the Ukrainian Air Force Command reported this.
Aircraft, electronic warfare units, mobile fire teams and unmanned systems of the defense forces repelled the air attack.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, air defense forces managed to shoot down or suppress 44 drones in the north, east, and center of the country.
At the same time, five missiles and UAVs were confirmed to have hit six populated areas.
