Russia attacked Ukraine with a missile and 86 drones overnight: Air defenses neutralized 69 of the drones.

On the night of July 4, Russian forces launched another air strike on Ukraine, using a ballistic missile, a guided air-to-air missile, and 86 attack drones of various types. Air defense forces neutralized most of the enemy drones.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.

According to military data, the occupiers launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile from temporarily occupied Crimea, one Kh-59/69 guided air-to-air missile from the Black Sea, and 86 Shahed-type attack drones, including jet-powered ones, Gerbera drones, and Italmas-Italmas drones. The launches were carried out from the Bryansk, Kursk, and Oryol regions, the Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk districts, and temporarily occupied Donetsk.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were deployed to repel the air attack.

As of 08:30, according to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 69 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country.

At the same time, two missiles and 17 attack drones were recorded hitting 16 locations. Debris from downed aerial targets was also recorded falling at five more locations.

The Air Force noted that the attack is ongoing because several Russian drones remain in Ukrainian airspace and called on citizens not to ignore air raid sirens and to observe safety regulations.
