Russian occupation forces launched almost two hundred drones of various types over Ukraine on the night of June 3. Air defense forces were able to destroy or suppress the vast majority of air targets.
As reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attack began on the evening of June 2.
In total, the enemy used 198 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody simulator drones. The launches were carried out from several regions of Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare forces, and unmanned systems operators were involved in repelling the air attack.
“As of this morning, the destruction or suppression of 189 enemy drones has been confirmed,” the Air Force reported.
According to the military, air defense operations continued in the north, east, and south of the country. However, it was not possible to completely avoid the consequences of the attack.
“Eight strike drones were recorded in seven locations. Falling debris from downed drones was also recorded in seven places,” the sky defenders noted.
Information about the extent of the damage and possible casualties is being clarified. Relevant services continue to work at the sites of impacts and falling debris.
