Russia attacked Ukraine with drones at night: how the air defense worked

Air defense forces have neutralized 80 of the 95 drones with which the Russians have attacked Ukraine since the evening of January 2.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, from 6:00 p.m. on January 2 to the morning of January 3, the Russians attacked with 95 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones from the following directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, Kacha, Chauda, Gvardiyske – TOT AR Crimea. About 60 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Saturday, January 3, the air defense had shot down/suppressed 80 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
15 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 8 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (fragments) at two locations.
