Russia attacked Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles: how it practiced air defense

On the night of Thursday, July 10, Ukrainian air defense forces successfully repelled a massive enemy attack, destroying 164 Shahed strike drones, six Kh-101 cruise missiles, and eight Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From 6:00 PM on July 9, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 415 aerial assets: 397 Shahed drones and drone simulators from the Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Orel, and Millerovo directions, as well as 8 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Bryansk region, 6 Kh-101 cruise missiles from the airspace of the Saratov region, and 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
The main direction of the attack was Kyiv.
The air attack was repelled with the help of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:00 on July 10, the air defense had shot down 178 air attack vehicles: including 164 Shahed drones, 8 Iskander-M missiles, and 6 Kh-101 cruise missiles. Another 204 targets were detected and suppressed by electronic warfare systems.
Hits were also recorded in eight locations, where 33 strike drones attacked. Downed drones and missiles were seen falling in 23 different areas.
Recall, on the night of Thursday, July 10, Russia launched a combined strike on Kyiv. During the airstrike, the use of kamikaze drones and missiles of various types was recorded in the city. As a result of the enemy strikes, two people were killed and 14 others were injured.
As reported, Russia has carried out one of the largest air attacks against Ukraine in recent memory , launching dozens of missiles and hundreds of drones across the country. The main target of the attack was Kyiv and the region.
