Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones: air defense shot down 186 targets

On the night of September 22, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and 212 strike drones. Air defense forces shot down or suppressed 186 enemy targets.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the attack began at 18:00 on September 21. Russian troops used Onyx anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles, four Caliber cruise missiles, eight Banderol/Dan-T, as well as 212 Shahed attack UAVs, including jet-powered ones, and Parody simulator drones.
The main areas of attack were Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
As of 08:00, air defenses had destroyed or suppressed:

- one “Caliber” cruise missile;

- eight “Banderol”/”Dan-T”;

- 177 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of UAVs.
Missile and drone strikes were recorded at 22 locations, as well as debris from downed targets falling at four locations.
In particular, the Air Force emphasized that the attack is ongoing. Enemy drones remain in the airspace.
