Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones at night: how the air defense worked

On the night of August 16, the Russian army launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 85 drones of various types.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire teams and air defense systems.
As of eight hours, the defenders have destroyed or suppressed 61 enemy Shahed drones and other drone imitators in the north and east of the country. At the same time, 24 drones and missiles have been recorded hitting 12 locations.
The frontline areas of Sumy, Donetsk, Chernihiv and Dnepropetrovsk regions came under attack.
