Russia attacked Ukraine with over a hundred drones: how many did air defense shoot down?

On the night of Thursday, January 29 (from 6:00 p.m. on January 28), Russia launched 105 strike UAVs over Ukraine. Air defense forces neutralized 84 drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians attacked with Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones from the following directions: Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), temporarily occupied Donetsk, Gvardiyske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 70 of them were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 on Thursday, January 29, the air defense system had shot down/suppressed 84 drones in the north, south, center, and east of the country.

18 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 7 locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones in the airspace.
