Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure overnight.
On the night of October 3, Russian troops launched a massive missile and drone attack on several regions of Ukraine, with energy facilities being the primary targets.
The Ministry of Energy and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
Gas transportation infrastructure facilities and energy facilities in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions were hit by fire. The Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions were also damaged. Rescuers and power engineers are working on the ground to address the aftermath.
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Border Guard Service, the enemy launched a total of 416 air attack weapons, including:

381 attack UAVs,

7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles,

21 Iskander-K cruise missiles,

7 guided aircraft missiles Kh-59/69.
Ukrainian air defenses destroyed or suppressed 320 targets. At the same time, 18 missiles and 78 attack drones were recorded hitting 15 targets, as well as debris from downed targets falling at six locations.
