Russia Strikes Zaporizhzhia with Air Bombs: One Killed, Buildings Destroyed

On the night of Tuesday, September 23, Russian forces launched a massive air strike with guided bombs on Zaporizhzhia. The attack destroyed residential buildings and industrial infrastructure, leaving one person dead.

As reported by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the explosions occurred in the private sector. One of the air-dropped bombs struck a residential building directly, causing a massive fire and extensive destruction. Several neighboring buildings were also damaged.

According to the State Emergency Service, the body of a man was recovered from the rubble. Emergency responders worked through the night, conducting rescue operations while simultaneously extinguishing the fire at the site of the attack.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, confirmed the attack, emphasizing that this is not the first time the Russian Federation has targeted residential areas of the city.

All emergency services remain on the scene, and the number of casualties is still being determined.

Earlier, on the night of September 22, Russian troops also launched a massive attack on Zaporizhia and the surrounding areas. The shelling killed at least two people and injured two others.

On the night of September 16, the Russian army launched a large-scale attack on Zaporizhia. The invaders fired at least ten shells, which led to serious damage and injuries among civilians.
