Russia awaits signal from US: Kremlin talks about future of peace plan

The Kremlin once again commented on the negotiations on a possible peace plan for Ukraine and future relations with the United States.

This is reported by OBOZ.UA.

Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin wants to understand where the US has reached in talks with Ukraine after Putin’s meeting with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. He stressed that Moscow wants to conduct negotiations “quietly,” without public statements.

Peskov also added that the Kremlin apparently likes the current style of American negotiations, although Moscow still fears that the next US administration may change its strategy towards Russia. The Kremlin said it sees a chance to “restore” relations with Washington if the “irritants” disappear.

As previously reported, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen named five EU priorities that should be taken into account in a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

Recall that Russia and China are actively taking advantage of Donald Trump’s desire to conclude quick deals and are trying to weaken American alliances in Europe and Asia.
