Russia closed the airspace over the Kapustin Yar test site: what could this indicate?
Russia has closed the airspace over the Kapustin Yar test site in the Astrakhan region amid statements by US President Donald Trump about redeploying nuclear submarines closer to Russia.
This is stated on the website of the US Federal Aviation Administration.
It is noted that the ban on flights over the test site will be in effect for four days – from August 4 to 8.
Corresponding actions may indicate that the Russians are testing weapons, in particular ballistic missiles.
We will remind, against the backdrop of threats from Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, US President Donald Trump announced the deployment of two nuclear submarines in the relevant regions .
Earlier, Medvedev tweeted on the social network X, where he noted that Russia’s response to US sanctions could be “unpredictable.” In particular, he mentioned the nuclear deterrent system.
Donald Trump later explained that he had ordered the US nuclear submarines to be moved closer to Russian territory .
