Russia damaged a maternity hospital in Kyiv: a boy was born in a shelter during shelling

In Kyiv, as a result of a Russian attack on the night of September 24, maternity hospital No. 2 was damaged. During the shelling, a boy was born in the shelter of the medical facility.

This was reported by the Director of the Kyiv Department of Health, Tetyana Mostepan.

According to her, during the attack, all patients and doctors were in shelter, so there were no casualties among them.

At 02:05 , in the midst of Russian shelling, a baby boy was born in the shelter of a maternity hospital.

“Even on such a terrible night, life goes on. Our doctors remain close to patients under any circumstances and do everything possible to ensure that assistance is provided in a timely manner,” Mostepan noted.

As a result of the attack, windows and doors from the first to fifth floors of the maternity building on the parking lot were partially broken. Windows in the laundry and boiler rooms were also damaged.

Despite the damage, the medical facility continues to operate and provide assistance to patients.

In the Podilskyi district, debris also fell on a parking lot near a maternity hospital. Cars caught fire there, and rescuers found the body of a deceased person. A nearby clinical and diagnostic center was also damaged.

In total , two people were killed and eight others were injured in the nighttime attack on Kyiv. At least two of the wounded were in serious condition.

In Solomyanskyi district, warehouse buildings were partially destroyed, where a fire broke out. In Dnipro district, debris fell on private houses, one of which was partially destroyed.
