Russia demands destruction of all Western weapons in Ukraine to end war – Russian Foreign Ministry

Russia will demand that Ukraine destroy all Western weapons it received during the war to end the war.

This was reported in The Moscow Times, citing a statement by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko.

He stated that the Western weapons available in Ukraine pose a threat not only to Russia, but also to the West itself.

“All these surpluses must be destroyed. All international algorithms are known. Armaments must be reduced, disposed of, and guaranteed,” Hrushko noted.

In his statement, he mentioned the Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems transferred by the United States to the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, which were later “put under control.”

He also pointed out the recklessness of Western politicians who, “taking into account this experience,” recklessly distribute weapons.

“Black markets are literally swelling with weapons, which, as a result of the implementation of corruption schemes, flow in a stream to different parts of the globe, including Europe,” said Hrushko.

Earlier, on May 30, during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council , Russia called the cessation of mobilization in Ukraine and the halting of Western weapons supplies as conditions for a ceasefire .
