Russia earned $2.76 billion from oil exports by sea last week, a record amount since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The value of supplies increased by $430 million in just seven days.
Bloomberg writes about this.
Despite the fall in the price of Russian Urals crude, Moscow has been able to increase its revenues thanks to a significant increase in exports. In addition, the price of ESPO crude has increased for the eighth consecutive week.
In the week ending October 25, Russia shipped 26.93 million barrels of oil by sea on 37 tankers. The week before, the figure was 21.87 million barrels, and 31 vessels were involved in the transportation.
China and India continue to buy the most Russian oil. At the same time, it is not always possible to immediately determine where the tankers are headed.
Some ships initially only indicate intermediate destinations, such as Suez, Port Sudan or Singapore. Therefore, the final route of some oil shipments becomes clear during transport.
Recall that Trump previously suspended the application of key sanctions against Russia , provided for by the “Graham Act.”
The US Congress has proposed banning the Trump-Putin diesel deal , which provides for the supply of Russian fuel to the American and other markets.
