Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has exported 15 million tons of Ukrainian grain from the occupied territories.
This was reported by Reuters.
“Since 2022, the Russians have been systematically exporting crops from the temporarily occupied parts of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhia regions, as well as from Crimea,” said Deputy Economy Minister Taras Vysotsky. He also added that because of this, Kyiv will initiate sanctions against grain importers.
Ukrainian intelligence has found out that grain from the occupied territory is being exported through Russian Black Sea ports, mixing it with Russian grain. Such manipulations make it impossible to trace the origin of the products.
The Russian authorities do not recognize the legal status of the harvest from TOT. Rosstat and consulting agencies do not include it in their reports, but the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reports that 3% of the total harvest is harvested in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that the occupiers have increased their efforts to steal Ukrainian grain in the occupied territories . The number of trucks transporting grain has more than doubled.
It was also reported that Russians in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region are collecting Ukrainian grain and selling it to Iran , while the residents of the occupied territories are in a difficult situation.
