Russia has officially begun mobilizing the population in all temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to preliminary estimates, between 50,000 and 100,000 men may be forcibly recruited for war.

This was announced by the Deputy Commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Kukharchuk.

According to the military, previously mobilization measures were carried out only in the occupied areas of Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea. From now on, Russia is expanding the conscription to all occupied territories, officially including them in the Southern Military District.

Kukharchuk noted that the occupation administrations aim to send mobilized residents to the front against Ukraine.

He emphasized that mobilization is being carried out under duress, without proper recruitment centers and adherence to legal procedures.

The Ukrainian military warns that the Kremlin’s decision indicates significant losses of Russian army personnel and attempts to compensate for them at the expense of residents of the occupied regions.

It was previously reported that the Russian military-political leadership is preparing the ground for the mobilization of reservists to replenish losses and maintain the pace of hostilities in Ukraine.

By the way, the idea of creating special “gamers’ troops” in Russia is actively being spread in pro-Kremlin media – that is, mobilized shooter fans who should learn to control drones more quickly. In fact, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation (CDC), this is an element of covert mobilization.
