Russia has begun using a new cruise missile, the Izdeliye-30, against Ukraine: the Defense Ministry has released its components

The Main Intelligence Directorate reported on Russia’s use of a new Izdeliye-30 cruise missile against Ukraine. The “Weapon Components” section of the War&Sanctions portal has published an interactive 3D model, the missile’s components, and data on the companies involved in its production.

This was reported by the press service of the GUR.

According to intelligence, the missile has a wingspan of about 3 meters , a warhead weighing 800 kilograms , and a range of at least 1,500 kilometers . The first cases of its use against Ukraine were recorded at the end of last year.

The GUR noted that the marking and design features of the product identified it as a development of the Zvezda Design Bureau, which is part of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation. Some technical solutions are unified with other products of this developer.

In particular, the installed pyrovalve of the pneumatic system is identical to the elements of the Kh-35U missile, and the aviation catapult device is similar to the AKU-5M systems used for Kh-101, Kh-55, and Kh-555 missiles.

The missile’s satellite navigation system is represented by a combination of products from two Russian companies: the anti-jamming satellite signal receiver with a digital antenna array “Komet-M12” manufactured by “VNIIR-Progress” and the receiving and computing unit manufactured by “KB Navis”, created on the basis of the NAVIS NR9 receiver.

To integrate these components, a mating unit manufactured by the Temp-Avia ANPP is used, which also manufactures flight controllers for guided aerial bombs.

The intelligence service emphasized that all three components of the navigation system contain components from foreign manufacturers from the USA, Switzerland, the PRC, and the Netherlands.

The separate electronic control unit for the BUBS-30 warhead is made on a Russian component base. Its key component is a 32-bit ARM 1986ВЕ1АТ microcontroller manufactured by PKK Milandr.

“The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues its systematic work on researching new enemy developments and informing the world with the aim of jointly countering threats,” the department reported.

Recall that the military-political observer of the Information Resistance group, Oleksandr Kovalenko, said that Ukraine found itself facing a new missile threat , as the aggressor managed to significantly increase the production of ballistics. Why do Western air defense systems not always cope with new challenges and how many Patriot missiles does the Armed Forces of Ukraine actually need each month to close the sky?

The day before, in early February, Yuriy Igrat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, said that Ukraine lacks missiles for air defense systems , so sometimes some complexes are empty.
