Russia has changed its tactics in attacking Kyiv.

During the massive attack on Kyiv on June 2, Russian forces resorted to a change in tactics, launching an additional missile strike in the morning, while the aftermath of the night’s shelling was still being dealt with.

Yurii Ihnat reported this on the air of “Apostrophe”.

According to him, after the main wave of the attack ended, it might have seemed that the danger had passed, but the Russians deliberately launched a new attack on the capital.

“This is a slight tactical shift, to avoid making the strike typical, where everything flies at once. It’s as if the attack is over, allowing us to catch our breath, regroup our forces, reload our air defenses, and prepare our equipment. In fact, that’s exactly what the enemy was counting on,” Ignat explained.

He emphasized that even units that repel air attacks around the clock need time to restore combat capability and prepare for new threats.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, at approximately 7:16 AM, Russian forces launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv. Following the air raid siren, a series of powerful explosions were heard in the capital.

The Air Force notes that such tactics could be aimed at complicating the work of air defense forces and emergency services dealing with the aftermath of previous strikes.

As a reminder, on the night of Tuesday, June 2, Russian occupation forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv. As a result of the shelling, damage was reported in several districts of the capital, with fatalities and dozens of injuries.
