Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was ready to hold talks on the war in Ukraine in Minsk.
This is reported by the Russian agency “Interfax”.
“I am sure that if it ever comes to negotiations, Belarusian opportunities can also be used. I know the position of Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko, he is ready to fully support everything aimed at resolving controversial issues by peaceful means,” Putin said.
In particular, he emphasized that the negotiations in 2022 began precisely in Minsk.
It is also known that the head of Ukraine previously expressed a desire to resume negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.
Earlier, it was reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Belarus, under the influence of Russia, is building military infrastructure near the Ukrainian border . According to him, Minsk has already received a signal from Ukraine about the need to stop such actions.
He also announced that he had approved a new 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine , which is intended to increase pressure on Russia and force it to end the war.
