Russia has increased attacks with jet drones eightfold: Ignat named the figures

Russia is rapidly increasing its use of drones in strikes against Ukraine. In June, Russian forces used about 350 of these drones, and in August, they used 2,850.

This was announced by Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.

According to him, since the beginning of the use of jet drones, Russia has already used about 7,700 such drones against Ukraine.

Ignat noted that their number increased significantly over the summer: in June there were about 350 jet UAVs, in July – 1,500 , and in August – 2,850 . In September, as of the time of the statement, Russia had used about 1,900 more such devices.

“This suggests that the enemy is not stopping, that they are finding opportunities to purchase those jet engines, other components and assemble them on Russian territory. About half of those “Shaheeds” are jet UAVs now. Such statistics are disappointing for us,” said Ignat.

He added that Russia has managed to scale up the production of jet drones despite the high cost of components and the complex logistics of supplying parts.

Recall that Ukraine already has four potential Shahed jet interceptors that have undergone field tests.

In addition, it was previously reported that China is helping Russia improve the Shahed , in particular by supplying engines, gyroscopes, and other components.
