Russia has intensified its disinformation campaign about the alleged territorial claims of Ukraine’s western neighbors and the possible “division” of Ukrainian territories.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

According to the Central Intelligence Agency, Russian media resources have spread a series of manipulative materials claiming that Ukraine has no future, and that its territories after the “disintegration” will supposedly be divided between Russia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Belarus.

The Center emphasized that the Kremlin has been promoting a narrative for years about alleged plans by neighboring states to divide Ukrainian lands. Such claims were recently voiced again by Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The CPD called such statements baseless and recalled that European countries consistently support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and continue to help it resist Russian aggression.

According to the Center, with the help of such informational inputs, Russia is trying to destabilize regional security, justify its aggression against Ukraine, and sow distrust between Kyiv and Western partners.
