Russia has intensified its offensive in the Kupyansk direction and in the areas of Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region

Russian troops continued offensive operations along almost the entire front line between January 10 and 11, focusing their main efforts on the Kupyansk direction and in the Donetsk region. However, no confirmed tactical successes were recorded in most areas.

This is stated in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

According to analysts, in the Kharkiv direction, Russian units attacked northeast of Kharkiv, in particular in the areas of Prylipka, Lyman, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Vovchanskiye Khutory, and Grafske, as well as near Velyky Burluk, Dvorichanske, and in the direction of Kolodyazne. The enemy’s advance has not been confirmed.

Separately, attempts by Russian units to infiltrate the southern part of Podoli, east of Kupyansk, were recorded. According to analysts, these actions did not lead to a change in the front line.

Russian troops have also attempted to advance on the outskirts of Kupyansk, but Ukrainian forces are holding positions north of the city and on the east bank of the Oskil River. It is estimated that there may be 50 to 60 Russian troops in Kupyansk itself.

In the Borovsk direction, a slight advance of Russian troops was recorded in the area of the western part of Ridkodub, south of Borova. At the same time, attacks continued near Boguslavka, Zagryzove, Hrekivka, Karpivka, and Druzhelyubyvka without confirmed results.

In Donetsk region, Russian troops conducted offensive operations in the Sloviansk and Lyman directions. Fighting continued in the Lyman area and near Yampol, Zarichny, Drobysheve, Stavky, and Zakitne without significant changes in the situation.

Analysts note that in the area of Kostyantynivka and Druzhkivka, the enemy had limited advancement, particularly in the eastern part of Kostyantynivka. Intense fighting also continued near Chasovy Yar, Pleshchiivka, and Ivano-Fylde, with the use of FPV drones.

In the Dobropil and Novopavlivka directions, attacks by Russian troops in the areas of Kucherovy Yar, Shakhovy, Toretskoy, Zapovedne, Filia, and on the approaches to Novopavlivka did not bring confirmed results.

In the Pokrovsk area, Russian troops advanced in the northern part of the city. Fighting also continued on the flanks of Pokrovsk near Rodynske, Myrnograd, Kotlyne, and Udachny.

In the southern direction, Russian troops achieved limited success in the Hulyaipol area, advancing in the northwestern and central parts of the city, as well as west of Pryluky. In the western part of Zaporizhia region, local advances were recorded near the mouth of the Kinka River and Primorskoye.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy continued limited attacks in the area of the Antonivskyi Bridge without changing the front line. Ukrainian forces, for their part, struck a logistics depot of the 49th Russian Army in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

It was previously reported that in the North Slobozhansk direction in the area of responsibility of the 78th separate airborne assault brigade, the enemy is trying to create a bridgehead for a further offensive . All such attempts are detected and thwarted in a timely manner, and the threat of advancing on Sumy is prevented.
