Russia has launched a massive strike on Ukraine: there are casualties, including children

On the night of Thursday, July 30, Russia launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine. Kyiv, Lviv, and the suburbs of Kryvyi Rih were under fire. One person died in the capital, dozens were injured in Lviv and a search for people under the rubble is ongoing, and in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian missile hit a private house, killing six people, including two children.

The consequences of the attacks were reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration, the State Emergency Service, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi, and the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council Oleksandr Vilkul.

In Kyiv, debris fell in the Svyatoshynskyi and Obolonskyi districts as a result of a rocket attack. In the Svyatoshynskyi district, fires broke out in the territory of a garage cooperative and non-residential buildings, and another fire occurred in the Obolonskyi district. During the fire extinguishing, rescuers discovered the body of a deceased man. Two more people were injured, one of them was hospitalized.

In Lviv, rockets damaged at least two high-rise buildings on Patona and Vyhovskoho streets. The hits caused fires, and rescuers are clearing the rubble. According to the latest data, the number of injured has increased to 15 people, including one rescuer. Fourteen people were hospitalized.

The search and rescue operation in Lviv is ongoing. According to Maksym Kozytsky, people may be trapped under the rubble. Residents of the damaged building are being evacuated through a blocked stairwell using a special crane. Local residents have also joined in clearing the rubble.

The largest number of casualties that night was recorded in the suburbs of Kryvyi Rih. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, Russian troops fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile at a village, hitting a private house where a large family lived. Six people died, including two girls aged 5 and 12.

Eight more people were injured, including two children, boys aged 6 and 15. An emergency rescue operation is underway at the scene, and rescuers continue to clear the rubble. According to preliminary data, the number of victims may increase, as people may still be trapped under the rubble.
