Russia hit by massive drone attack: Wildberries warehouses on fire in St. Petersburg

On the night of July 24, drones attacked St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, and Tver. After the explosions in the suburbs of St. Petersburg, at least two Wildberries warehouses caught fire, and about 50 flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport due to the attack.
This is reported by Russian media, the BBC Russian service, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, as well as Russian and Ukrainian monitoring channels.
According to the governor of Leningrad region, Russian air defenses allegedly shot down 50 drones over the region. At the same time, local residents reported a series of explosions, and videos of thick smoke over St. Petersburg and its surroundings spread online.
According to the BBC Russian service, at least two Wildberries warehouses in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region were hit. A large-scale fire broke out at one of the facilities.
“There is information about an attack on the Wildberries warehouse in Novosaratovka. There are casualties as a result of the attack,” said the governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko.
The drone attack significantly complicated the work of Pulkovo Airport. According to official information, about 50 flights were delayed, and another 15 planes were waiting for an opportunity to take off from alternate airfields.
The Russian authorities have not yet released official information about the extent of damage to other facilities and the possible consequences of the attack.
As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, July 23, several Russian regions were attacked by drones. In the Ulyanovsk region, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise after explosions, and in Voronezh, a new attack on the logistics infrastructure is reported . The Russian authorities have not yet officially commented on the consequences of the strikes.
