Russia hit Chernihiv region: elevator, house, energy facilities damaged

The Russian army continues shelling the Chernihiv region. On the night of October 7, civilian infrastructure facilities in several areas of the region came under fire. A grain elevator was under attack.

The State Emergency Service reported on the shelling of the Chernihiv region.

According to the agency, hits on infrastructure facilities were recorded in the Pryluky district, resulting in local fires. In the Novgorod-Siversky district, enemy drones attacked an elevator where grain was stored, and also damaged a residential building in one of the settlements.

“Rescuers of the Chernihiv region promptly extinguished the fires that broke out after the strikes and prevented them from spreading,” the State Emergency Service reported.

Work is underway on the ground to eliminate the consequences of the attacks. No casualties have been reported.

As a reminder, on the night of October 6 , Russian troops struck an energy facility in the Chernihiv region , leaving part of the region without electricity.

The occupiers also attacked the Chernihiv region on October 4. Energy infrastructure facilities were hit.

On Tuesday, September 30, the Russian army again attacked the Chernihiv region , and the railway infrastructure came under attack.
