“A ballistic missile was also used against the Kharkiv region – warehouses of ordinary civilian production were damaged, and this is an American company,” Zelenskyy noted.
Philip Morris Ukraine has confirmed damage to part of its Kharkiv factory. Rescue services are working on the scene. The elimination of the consequences is ongoing.
According to preliminary data, no one was injured. People were in shelter at the time of the strike.
The company noted that they are in contact with emergency services and providing the necessary assistance.
“The company continues to fulfill its obligations to the state budget, partners, and consumers. We are clarifying the circumstances and will provide additional information if necessary,” the company said.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Kharkiv factory has been suspended. In 2024, the company opened a new factory in the Lviv region and relocated 250 employees from the Kharkiv region there.
