Russia hits Zaporizhia with KABs: there are dead and many injured

Russian forces launched a guided bomb attack on a residential area of Zaporizhia on the evening of July 19. The attack killed three people and injured at least 33.

This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, Ivan Fedorov, the Russian army launched two strikes with guided aerial bombs directly on the city. The attack damaged 4 locations and 2 residential buildings.

The impact fell on a residential area. The private sector suffered significant damage: houses were destroyed, cars were damaged, fires broke out. The terminal of a logistics operator also caught fire.

In addition, Russian forces hit a nine-story building near the site and damaged a five-story building, completely destroying two floors. The nine-story building had windows broken and balconies damaged.

Initially, 2 people were reported dead and at least 10 injured. During emergency rescue operations, the body of a woman with no signs of life was removed from the rubble.

“The rescue operation is ongoing. There are still people under the rubble. Rescuers are doing everything possible to unblock them as soon as possible. Medics are providing all the victims with the necessary assistance,” Fedorov said.

As of 20:18, it became known that the number of victims had increased to 33 , including 5 children .

As a reminder, on the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a massive missile strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, using, in particular, ballistic missiles.

It was previously reported that Russian troops struck a suburb of Kharkiv on the afternoon of July 19. Later it became known that the strike hit the Kharkiv innovative sorting terminal of Nova Poshta in the suburbs of Kharkiv. The attack killed 4 people and injured 20 more.
