It has been 100 days since Russia rejected the US proposal to implement a ceasefire.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga.
He noted that Thursday, June 19, marks exactly 100 days since Ukraine unconditionally accepted the US proposal to implement a complete ceasefire and advance a genuine peace process.
“Exactly 100 days have passed since Russia rejected this basic first step towards peace. 100 days of Russian manipulation and missed opportunities to end the war. 100 days of Russia intensifying terror against Ukraine, not stopping it,” the Foreign Minister noted.
Sybiga also emphasized that Ukraine is committed to peace, unlike Russia, which continues the war, ignoring the US’s peace efforts.
“It is time to act now and force Russia to peace. Peace through strength, increased sanctions, and expanded opportunities for Ukraine,” the minister urged.
Earlier, on May 30, during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council , Russia called the cessation of mobilization in Ukraine and the halting of Western weapons supplies as conditions for a ceasefire .
By the way, Russia demands that Ukraine destroy all Western weapons it received during the war in order to end the war .
