Russia is building a giant intelligence center near the NATO border

In the Kaliningrad region of Russia, just 25 km from the border with NATO countries, large-scale construction of a potential intelligence center has been recorded.

This is evidenced by new satellite images released by the investigative platform Tochnyi, which are cited by the Bild publication.

The facility is located near the city of Chernyakhivsk and is likely a ring antenna complex for conducting radio reconnaissance. Construction started in March 2023, and during this time the territory was completely cleared, infrastructure, access roads were built, and sites for structures were prepared.

In the pictures you can see:

large pits for masts;

at least six antenna rings of the future grid.

Analysts believe that this is a ring antenna array – a system capable of intercepting radio communications, including military ones. The diameter of the structure could reach about 1,600 meters, which significantly exceeds the usual scale of such objects.

Among the likely functions of the future complex:

interception of radio communications of NATO countries in Eastern Europe and the Baltics;

ensuring stable communication with Russian submarines in the Baltic Sea and the North Atlantic.

Experts suggest that this facility could become one of the largest intelligence centers that Russia has built in recent decades, indicating the strengthening of its military ambitions in the western direction.

As a reminder, Russia has begun constructing fortified shelters for military aircraft at airfields near the Ukrainian border . The protective structures are intended to protect aviation from strikes by Ukrainian drones and missiles — and are a response to successful attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which destroyed dozens of enemy bombers.

As reported, fresh satellite images have revealed the large-scale construction of five secret military facilities related to Russia’s nuclear forces. Analysts warn: Moscow is expanding its nuclear infrastructure amid tensions in Europe. The facilities have multi-level security, special bunkers and logistics for transporting warheads.
