Russia Unleashes Massive Assault on Ukraine: Explosions Rock Cities Across the Country
Russian forces launched a massive attack on several Ukrainian cities with drones on May 13. Explosions were heard in Odesa, Lutsk, Kyiv, and Kherson, causing injuries, fires, and damage.
A fire broke out in one of the city’s courtyards in Odessa as a result of a drone attack. Several cars caught fire. One person is reported injured.
The head of the Odessa MVA, Serhiy Lysak, reported that the threat of new attacks remained.
Explosions were recorded in the central part of Lutsk. Secretary of the Lutsk City Council Kateryna Shkloda reported that information on building damage and casualties is being clarified.
According to her, the movement of enemy drones towards the city continued, and residents were urged to remain in shelters until the alert ended.
The wreckage of a Russian drone fell in the Obolonsky district of Kyiv. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, noted that there were no initial reports of injuries.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko clarified that the debris fell in an open area, and emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
The consequences of the attack are also being recorded in the Vyshgorod district, where a residential building caught fire, reports the Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.
Kherson was the worst affected, where Russian troops targeted a shuttle bus in the central part of the city with a drone.
Nine civilians were injured in the strike. People were taken to hospitals with contusions, blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and traumatic brain injuries. Among the injured were women and the elderly.
Medics continue to provide assistance to the victims, and the regions continue to eliminate the consequences of another Russian attack.
It was previously reported that Russia has launched a combined strike on the territory of Ukraine, targeting critical facilities. It may be long-lasting.
As a reminder, “Pryamiy” reported that after the night attack by the Russian Federation, the city of Dnipro suffered significant destruction—residential buildings and social infrastructure facilities were damaged, and there were victims and injured. The attack occurred on the night of April 25.
