Russia is preparing an information and psychological operation regarding the situation in the temporarily occupied Oleshki, Kherson region. The occupiers plan to record staged interviews with local residents, in which they, under pressure, are to accuse Ukraine of shelling and “blocking” the city.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the SBU, the Russians also want to use these videos to discredit the military-political leadership of Ukraine. At the same time, they plan to force the residents of the occupied city to express “gratitude” to the Russian invaders.

The occupiers planned to carry out this provocation for October – early November.

The Center for Countering Disinformation noted that Russia is already spreading information aimed at absolving itself of responsibility for the humanitarian catastrophe in occupied Oleshki and shifting the blame onto Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian intelligence services, Russia uses such information campaigns to influence the morale of Ukrainians and destabilize the situation within the country.

Ukrainians were urged to use only official sources of information, critically evaluate messages, and not distribute materials from Russian resources.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian military delivered humanitarian aid to occupied Oleshki for the second time, handing over almost 4 tons of food, medicine, and baby kits to residents.

In addition, Russia is preparing staged videos featuring residents of the occupied town of Oleshki in the Kherson region, who are planned to be forced to talk about the supposedly prosperous life in the town. This is how Moscow is trying to deny reports of a humanitarian catastrophe in the occupied territory.

Also, a humanitarian catastrophe is ongoing in the temporarily occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region. About two thousand people remain in the city, who have acute problems with access to food and medicine, and the possibility for them to leave is effectively blocked.
