Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia is preparing two new offensive operations this fall. The Ukrainian military successfully repelled two large-scale enemy attacks over the summer, and the outcome of the next campaign is expected to become clear in the coming days.

He said this in an interview with Sky News.

Zelenskyy said that Russian troops plan to conduct two more major offensive operations in the fall. He stressed that the situation for the aggressor is much worse than the Kremlin expected, and the heavy losses of the Russians indicate the failure of their plans.

“We completely thwarted two offensive operations. As for the third one, I think it will take another day or two, and it will become clear that they suffered heavy losses and achieved nothing,” Zelenskyy noted.

The Head of State explained that thanks to the resilience of the Ukrainian military, Russia has already lost the initiative. He emphasized that it is now critically important to strengthen support for partners in the field of finance and armaments, especially in the production of drones and electronic warfare equipment.

“Now our soldiers need to hold on both morally and spiritually. They need to be supported, primarily with weapons and finances from our partners. Then we will withstand two more manipulative offensive operations by the Russian Federation,” Zelenskyy added.

The President also drew attention to the Kremlin’s information manipulations. He emphasized that the Russians failed to implement their plans to occupy eastern Ukraine or the city of Sumy, as they tried to convince the international community.

Separately, Zelenskyy commented on Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Donald Trump in Alaska, noting that the Russian dictator received political dividends from this event, but did not take a single step to end the war.

“Putin came out of political isolation, got the desired photos and dialogue. He paid nothing for it, although he should have taken a step back in this war,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, effective pressure on Russia is possible only with a decisive and unified position from the United States and Europe.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian units had completely thwarted the offensive operation of the Russian occupiers on Sumy.

Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported that August 2025 was a month of severe trials for the Ukrainian army, but the Armed Forces achieved significant results. The enemy failed to make large-scale breakthroughs, but the Defense Forces liberated new territories and inflicted significant losses on the Russian army.

The day before, it was reported that the Russian occupation forces began a large-scale regrouping of forces at the front, evidenced by the redeployment of marines and paratroopers towards the Donetsk region. Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) predict that in the fall of 2025, the Russian command will try to capture the remains of the Donetsk region.
