Russia is setting up positions in Pokrovsk, Ukrainian troops are trying to contain the offensive

Russian forces are actively strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and amassing resources capable of conducting surveillance and striking throughout the settlement. Control over key approaches to the city has not yet been achieved, which poses a serious threat to Ukrainian defenders.

According to analysts from the Ukrainian OSINT community Deep State, the enemy is setting up positions and logistical sites in preparation for an advance into the city. The Ukrainian military continues to conduct sweeps and eliminate enemy units, including using drones.

According to analysts, the enemy is also trying to establish control over the territory between Pokrovske and Hryshyn, a section that is critically important for logistics. Ukrainian special units are conducting active clearing operations, but a complete blockade of the enemy on the southern outskirts has not yet been ensured.

Experts warn that if the Russians succeed, even without consolidating in new areas, they could cut off Mirnograd and create the prerequisites for a further capture. The situation remains tense and requires constant control.

As a reminder, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that there is no encirclement or blockade of Ukrainian troops in the Pokrovsko-Myrnograd agglomeration. The situation in the direction remains difficult, but controlled.

As previously reported, Russian occupation forces have advanced in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, and near three other villages.
