Russian propaganda has launched a new fake about the alleged “execution of deserters” in the Ukrainian army to stabilize the front.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

The report states that the enemy is spreading fabrications about the so-called “zagorodzagons” that are allegedly used against the Ukrainian military. The Central Military District emphasizes that these statements are not true and are part of an information campaign to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Analysts emphasize that the practice of “barrier detachments” has Soviet origins and is used by the modern Russian army, not the Ukrainian one.

The main goal of such fakes is to intimidate the military, demoralize society, and undermine mobilization processes in Ukraine.

The Central Military District also recalled that they had previously refuted similar informational allegations about the “creation of barricade units” and “shootings of military personnel.”

It was previously reported that Russia is using the escalation in the Middle East for new information attacks against Ukraine and attempts to discredit it on the international stage.
