Russian propaganda resources are spreading another fake story about alleged “atrocities by the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in Pokrovsk. To do this, the Kremlin media used a video with a local resident without any confirmed facts or evidence.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

The video claims that Ukrainian soldiers were allegedly “hiding in the bushes and shooting at civilians.” The CPD stressed that there is no reliable confirmation of these statements.

They noted that such informational attacks are part of Russia’s systematic campaign to discredit the Ukrainian Defense Forces and an attempt to justify its own aggression.

The CPD explained that Russian propaganda deliberately uses emotional stories and manipulative testimonies to form a false impression of the Ukrainian military, sow distrust in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and divert attention from the crimes of the Russian army.

At the same time, it is Russia that daily shelled Ukrainian cities, destroyed civilian infrastructure, and terrorized the population both in frontline regions and in the rear.
