Russia launched 131 drones over Ukraine: how it tested its air defense

On the night of Tuesday, July 28, Russian occupation forces carried out another massive drone attack on Ukraine. Air defense forces neutralized 107 enemy drones, but hits were also recorded at several locations. Air alert continues in some regions.
This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, since 18:00 on July 27, the Russian army has launched 131 strike drones of various types, including Shahed, jet drones, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody simulator drones. The launches were carried out from the territory of the Bryansk, Kursk, and Oryol regions of the Russian Federation, as well as from the temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region and Crimea.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.
The Air Force reported that “as of 08:00, air defenses shot down/suppressed 107 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the north, south, center, and east of the country.”
At the same time, the military confirmed that 16 strike drones were hit in nine locations. In addition, debris from downed targets fell in six more places.
The Air Force emphasized that the attack is not over yet, as enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace, and urged citizens not to ignore air alert signals.
