On the night of Wednesday, August 26, Russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine with 162 strike drones of various types. Among them were Shahed drones, including jet-powered ones, Gerber drones, and Parody simulator drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy drones were launched from the Kursk, Orel, and Primorsky-Akhtarsk regions in Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast and Crimea.

To repel the attack, the Ukrainian military used aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare equipment, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense forces had destroyed or suppressed 134 enemy drones. They were shot down and neutralized in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian attack was not without consequences. The Air Force recorded hits by enemy air attack vehicles at 18 locations. Debris from downed drones fell at three more locations.

As of 08:00, the airstrike was still ongoing. Several Russian drones remained in the sky, so Ukrainians were urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow safety rules.
