Russia launched 41 drones over Ukraine: how it tested its air defense

On the night of Thursday, June 26, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine using strike drones. In total, the enemy launched 41 Shahed drones and other simulated UAVs from various directions — in particular, from the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, Primorsky-Akhtarsk, and temporarily occupied Crimea (Gvardiyskoye).
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The main direction of the attack was the front-line areas of the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
Anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) forces, and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the air attack.
As of this morning, Ukrainian air defenses have eliminated 24 enemy UAVs. Eight of them were shot down by fire, and another 16 were suppressed or disabled using electronic warfare.
However, some of the drones reached their targets – hits were reported in seven locations.
As a reminder, as of the morning of June 26, Russia has lost about 1,015,750 military personnel since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Over the course of the day, the enemy’s losses in manpower reached 1,100 people.
As reported, over the past 24 hours, 154 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front . The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.
