Russia launched 67 drones over Ukraine: how air defense repelled a night attack

On the night of May 8, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 67 strike drones of various types. Air defense forces destroyed or suppressed most of the enemy drones.
This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, Russia launched Shahed strike UAVs, as well as Gerbera, Italmas drones, and Parody simulator drones from the territory of the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, as well as electronic warfare and unmanned systems units.
“As of 08:00, air defenses have shot down or suppressed 56 enemy UAVs,” the Air Force reported.
At the same time, hits were also recorded. According to the military, 11 strike drones reached targets in eight locations.
