Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, with one fatality and several injuries reported.
On the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, using, in particular, ballistic missiles.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.
As of this morning, at least one person has died and 15 people are injured in the capital.
According to the State Emergency Service, hits and fires were recorded in five districts of Kyiv:
- Solomensky District – Firefighters are continuing to extinguish a fire in an office building; fires in a residential and non-residential building have already been extinguished.
- In the Shevchenkivskyi district , cars and a three-story building were on fire, and rescuers were rescuing people. A fire in a non-residential building was also contained. A deceased person was found there.
- Svyatoshinsky District – a fire on the roof of a private home has been extinguished, four residents have been rescued.
- Desnyansky district : fires at two non-residential buildings have been contained.
- Dniprovskyi district – cars, a non-residential building and a dormitory caught fire.
Lukyanivska metro station is temporarily closed due to damage to the ground-level concourse caused by the blast wave. Green line trains are continuing to operate.
According to journalists, a crater formed near the station where an underground passage used to be. The blast wave damaged a road shelter, destroyed a public transport stop, shops, and a local market. Utility services continue to clean up the aftermath of the attack.
In the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, two people were injured as a result of a strike. Fires broke out at a warehouse and logistics facility.
State Emergency Service units are working simultaneously in several locations to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack.
