On the night of January 24, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with drones. As of this morning, one person was killed and four were injured.

This was reported by the mayor of Kyiv , Vitali Klitschko , and the head of the Kyiv city military administration , Timur Tkachenko .

The air attack began around 1:00 a.m., with air defense forces deployed in the capital. Falling debris caused damage in several areas of the city.

In the Desnyansky district, debris fell on a non-residential building. In the Dniprovsky district, a fire broke out in a garage cooperative, a fuel truck in the parking lot caught fire, and windows in an apartment building were also shattered. In the Darnytsky district, debris damaged the windows of a private medical facility without causing a fire. In the Holosiivsky district, a non-residential building caught fire, and a private home was damaged at another address. In the Solomyansky district, debris struck a six-story office building.

According to Klitschko, there are interruptions in heat and water supply on the left bank of the capital.

Due to the aftermath of the shelling, Kyiv metro trains on the Green Line are temporarily operating with service changes. Service is being provided between the Syrets-Vydubychi and Osokorky-Krasnyi Khutor stations. Service on the Red and Blue Lines remains unchanged.

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers introduced additional support programs for small and medium-sized businesses in the context of the energy emergency caused by Russian shelling.

As a reminder, energy, utilities, and transport infrastructure workers involved in emergency recovery efforts will receive an additional 20,000 hryvnias in salary from the state.
