On the afternoon of August 25, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Chernihiv. According to preliminary reports, at least two people were injured in the strikes.

At the same time, Russian shelling damaged a power facility. According to Chernihiv Power, more than 30,000 customers in the Chernihiv district and the city of Slavutych were left without power.

Power engineers will be able to begin inspecting damaged equipment and repair work as soon as the safety situation allows.

According to local public groups, approximately ten explosions were heard in Chernihiv in just ten minutes. Several unmanned aerial vehicles were also reported to have continued hovering over the city.
