Russia Sends 140 Drones at Ukraine in Daylong Attack, Most Headed for Kyiv

Russia launched around 140 strike drones at Ukraine on August 27, more than 100 of them jet-powered. Most of the drones were directed at Kyiv.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, the attack lasted from 07:00 to 19:00. During this time, Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed about 120 attack drones.
As of 7:00 p.m., more than 10 jet attack drones remained in Ukrainian airspace.
The Air Force emphasized that the data regarding the Russian attack is preliminary.
Earlier, it was reported that on the night of Thursday, August 27, Russian occupation forces attacked several regions of Ukraine at once with missiles and strike drones. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, and Odesa. As a result of the attack, there were casualties and damage to residential buildings, an industrial enterprise, an educational institution, and other civilian infrastructure.
As a reminder, in Kyiv, as a result of an attack by Russian troops, a direct hit by a Shahed rocket was recorded on the Valery Lobanovskyi Stadium.
