Russia launched almost 900 drones over Ukraine per day: air defense forces neutralized 710 air targets

Russian forces today, May 13, carried out one of the most massive drone attacks on Ukraine, launching 892 strike drones of various types in a day. Air defense forces shot down or suppressed 710 enemy UAVs.

This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, from 08:00 to 18:30 the enemy attacked with 753 Shahed attack drones, including jet-powered ones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas UAVs, and Parody simulator drones.

Including the night attack, during which Russia used another 139 drones, the total number of enemy drones per day exceeded 892.

The enemy directed the main direction of the attack towards the western regions of Ukraine.

The Air Force noted that a feature of this attack was the repeated use of the territory of Belarus and Moldova for the flight of strike drones towards Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

As of 6:30 p.m., 710 enemy UAVs have been confirmed shot down or suppressed in almost all regions of the country.

27 strikes by strike drones were also recorded, and debris from downed drones fell at 26 locations.

The Air Force emphasized that the attack is ongoing, and several drones still remain in Ukrainian airspace.
