Russia launched over 70 drones over Ukraine: how many were shot down by air defenses

On the night of Wednesday, June 25, Russia launched a large-scale drone attack on the territory of Ukraine. Since 22:00 on June 24, the enemy launched 71 attack drones, including Shahed type, as well as several imitation drones. The launches were carried out from various directions – Bryansk, Millerovoye, Kursk, Primorsky-Akhtarsk and temporarily occupied Chaudy in Crimea.

This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the air alert, the Ukrainian defense forces actively repelled the attack. Fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare systems were involved in repelling the threat.

It is noted that as of Wednesday morning, 52 drones had been neutralized. Of these, 32 were shot down by fire, and another 20 were suppressed or disoriented by electronic warfare systems.

Despite the successful work of air defense, hits were recorded in six settlements in the Odessa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

As a reminder, as of the morning of June 25, Russia has lost about 1,014,650 military personnel since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Over the course of the day, the enemy’s losses in manpower reached 950 people.

As reported, over the past 24 hours, 151 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front . The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.
