Russia massively attacked Kherson: there are dead and wounded

On the morning of Monday, September 29, Russian troops opened fire on a checkpoint in Kherson. The attack killed a 40-year-old police officer, and his 21-year-old colleague suffered a mine-explosive injury and contusion. The injured law enforcement officer was hospitalized.

The Russian shelling was reported by both the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the National Police of Ukraine.

“This morning, a checkpoint in Kherson came under devastating Russian shelling – a 40-year-old police officer died on the spot. A 21-year-old policeman was also injured and was taken to the hospital with a mine-explosive injury and contusion,” the National Police said in a statement.

According to law enforcement officials, in the Dnipro district of the city, Russians also dropped explosives from a drone on a private house, injuring a 46-year-old man.

In addition, a local resident was killed during shelling in the same area. His identity is currently being established.

Near Belyaevka, Russian troops hit a car with an FPV drone, injuring a 58-year-old man.

In addition, two more residents of Belozerka, who had previously been wounded during enemy shelling, needed medical attention.

Also, as a result of Russian shelling, power grids in Kherson were damaged , leaving part of the city without electricity.

As a reminder, the number of people injured in the Russian shelling of Zaporizhia on September 28 has increased to 49. Among the wounded are four children, the youngest child is only 9 years old. Elderly citizens, including an 86-year-old woman, also sought medical attention.
