Russia massively attacked Ukraine with drones: how it worked out its air defense

Ukraine’s air defense forces neutralized 114 of the 137 Russian drones that attacked the country since the evening of October 5. At the same time, they recorded hits at 17 locations and debris from downed targets falling at four more.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia launched the attack at 18:00 on October 5. In total, the enemy launched 137 strike UAVs of various types, including 49 jet drones. The Russian forces used Shahed, Gerbera, Banderol/Dan-T, as well as Parody simulator drones for the strike.
The drones were launched from the areas of Orel, Kursk, Shatalovoye, Millerovoye, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Gvardiyske in Crimea, as well as from the waters of the Sea of Azov.
The air attack was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
As of 08:00 on October 6, Ukrainian air defense had shot down or suppressed 114 enemy drones.
At the same time, the attack continued: several Russian drones remained in the airspace.
